Neil
Abramson, is a recognized leader in the field
of Workers’ Compensation and a leader in the New York
State Workers’ Compensation legal community. As the
youngest attorney ever to chair the New York State Bar Association
Workers’ Compensation Law Division, he worked side by
side with the Chairman and administration of the Compensation
Board. This experience allowed him to gain extensive knowledge
of the intricacies of the ever-changing Workers’ Compensation
Board rules and regulations.
Mr.
Abramson also created the free attorney program for Workers’
Compensation Sept. 11th death cases, for which he received
an award from the State of New York for his efforts.
Mr.
Abramson believes not only in protecting injured workers through
representation, but also through educating them of their rights.
He conducts workshops for unions, and lectures widely on Workers’
Compensation topics before the New York State Bar Association
and the New York State AFL-CIO Navigator program.
Joel
Rubin, the firm’s managing partner,
has been practicing Workers’ Compensation Law for over
30 years and is widely recognized for his knowledge and expertise
in the field, particularly in the area of occupational diseases.
Mr. Rubin has been at the forefront in establishing cancer
as a occupational condition, working extensively on asbestos
related and chemically related cancer claims. Mr. Rubin has
lectured before the Association of Trial Lawyers of America,
the Nassau Bar Association, Medical and Chiropractic Associations
and has conducted seminars for building trades, utility workers,
garment workers, and various other groups educating both workers
and their families with regard to their rights under the Workers’
Comensation Law.
